The American Bar Association appears to have relied on inaccurate information in rating Eighth Circuit nominee Steve Grasz as “not qualified,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said Nov. 30.
Grassley delayed a vote on Grasz by one week, in what he said was a “rare exception to our standard practice.”
Grasz sent supplemental materials to the committee this week “that appear to indicate that the ABA relied on faulty information in their evaluation of him,” Grassley said in a prepared statement.
