President Donald Trump has announced his intent to nominate Matthew D. Keenan, the former chair of Shook, Hardy & Bacon’s pro bono committee, to the board of directors of the Legal Services Corporation.
Keenan, a partner in the firm’s Kansas City office whose practice includes pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, would serve as a member of LSC’s board of directors for the remainder of a three-year term that expires July 13, 2020.
LSC is an independent, non-profit corporation established by Congress to provide funding for civil legal aid to low-income Americans.
