Trump to Tap Quinn Emanuel’s Landau as Mexico Ambassador (1)

President Donald Trump plans to nominate Quinn Emanuel appellate attorney and U.S. Supreme Court veteran Christopher Landau as ambassador to Mexico, the White House said.

Landau recently joined Quinn’s Washington office after more than 20 years at Kirkland & Ellis, where he led the appellate practice.

“Chris is a brilliant lawyer and has been an outstanding advocate for Quinn Emanuel’s clients,” John B. Quinn, founder and managing partner of Quinn Emanuel, said. “As an ambassador, he will bring his unique intelligence and high professionalism to the task of advocating for the country,” Quinn added.
