Twitter, Facebook, Google Sued Over Orlando Terrorist Attack

The families of three victims in the June 12 Orlando, Fla. terrorist attacks have sued Twitter Inc., Facebook Inc. and Alphabet’s Google for allegedly allowing the Islamic State Group — known commonly as ISIS — to use their sites to recruit fighters, raise funds and conduct operations.

Although the defendants didn’t create the content posted by ISIS, they created the pages by matching advertisements to the content, the plaintiffs alleged in a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
