Vanderbilt Workers Seek Class Status in Retirement Fee Lawsuit

Vanderbilt University employees are seeking a court order letting them proceed as a class in their allegations that the university failed to prudently monitor their retirement plan’s fees and investments, resulting in millions of dollars in retirement savings losses.

The workers seek to represent a class of at least 40,000 investors in Vanderbilt’s $3 billion retirement plan, according to court documents filed May 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
