Wake Up Call: After MoFo Slashes Equity Partnership, PEP Surges 14% in 2018

  • Following double-digit growth in 2017, Morrison & Foerster’s gross revenues shrank 1.9 percent in 2018, to about $1.04 billion. However, its profits per equity partner surged 14 percent, to just under $2 million. The firm attributed that gain to its 25 percent reduction in the number of partners who get over half of their compensation from profit draws. The firm said the compensation change, made after a year of consulting partners, “advances the strategic needs of the firm.” (American Lawyer)
