Wake Up Call: Cooley Hires Mueller Probe Lawyer, Launches Singapore Office

In today’s Wake Up Call column, trademark litigation hit a four-year high in 2019, while law firm mergers are set for another strong year in 2020. Willkie, Weil, Latham, and Proskauer were among firms advising in some significant recent deals.

• California-based Cooley launched an office in Singapore, the firm’s 16th worldwide. The office starts off with partner in charge Ferish Patel, who joined in July from Gunderson Dettmer, where he led its Singapore office.
