Wake Up Call: Equifax Exec Charged With Insider Trading After Breach

• Six months after the massive Equifax hack, federal authorities filed the first criminal charges in the attack, accusing the company’s former U.S. chief information officer Jun Ying of insider trading. After finding out about the attack, Ying, who’s represented by Schulte Roth & Zabel, allegedly searched the internet for what might happen to Equifax stock and then cashed in his stock options for more than $480,000, prosecutors said.
