Wake Up Call: Ex-Dewey CFO Sanders Out of Jail After Greenspoon Marder Pays $1M Fine

  • Greenspoon Marder sprung former Dewey & LeBoeuf CFO Joel Sanders from jail by paying the $1 million penalty linked to his felony fraud convictions in the Dewey bankruptcy case, according to reports. Manhattan Supreme Court judge Robert Stolz last week ordered Sanders to jail after finding that he willfully failed to pay the first of three installments of the fine. Sanders was released Friday after his current employer, Greenspoon Marder, paid the full amount, his lawyer, DLA Piper partner Christopher Oprison, told American Lawyer.
