Wake Up Call: Mulled Rule Changes Could Let Big 4 Into U.S. Legal Market

  • Big Four accounting firms, Deloitte, EY, PwC, and KPMG, could finally get into the U.S. legal market, thanks to efforts by California, Arizona, and Utah to improve access to justice. The states are mulling changes to law firm ownership rules that would make the legal system more affordable for the poor and middle class, but the changes could also clear the way for the Big Four open U.S. legal branches that can compete with Big Law firms.
