Wake Up Call: Shearman Antitrust Partner to Join DOJ’s Tech Giant Probe

  • The Justice Department is bringing on Shearman & Sterling antitrust partner Ryan Shores to help lead the government’s investigations into whether tech companies, such as Google and Facebook Inc., have used their market dominance to stifle competition. Shores, who clerked for U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist, is joining the department as associate deputy attorney general and senior advisor for technology industries, the government said.
