Wake Up Call: Three Big Law Firms Advise in Cigarette Maker’s Investment in Canadian Pot Grower

  • Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz advised Altria Group, the maker of Marlboro cigarettes for the U.S. market, in its CAD$2.4 billion ($1.8 billion) investment in Canadian cannabis producer Cronos Group, which was advised by Sullivan & Cromwell. Altria also got advice from Hunton Andrews Kurth on financing aspects of the deal. (American Lawyer)
