Wake Up Call: Walmart Sues Ex-Tax Officer Who Left for Amazon

• Walmart Inc. is suing its former chief tax officer, Lisa Wadlin, for allegedly violating her employment agreement by defecting to Amazon Inc., the latest salvo in the battle between the online retail giants. Walmart’s Delaware Chancery Court lawsuit seeks to stop Wadlin, a CPA whospent13 years at Ernst & Young, from taking the Amazon job until May 2020 and, in particular, bar her from giving its rival “sensitive business information” she got at Walmart.
