Kantor & Kantor, a California law firm that represents individuals suing insurance companies, expanded its ERISA practice group by adding former Labor Department attorney Elizabeth Hopkins as a partner in Northridge, Calif.

Hopkins “has pension experience, and we’re looking to do more pension work,” firm founding partner Glenn Kantor told Bloomberg Law April 5.

As counsel for appellate and special litigation in the Labor Solicitor’s Division of Plan Benefits Security, Hopkins oversaw the division’s ERISA amicus programs and supervised the filing of appellate briefs.
