Workflows: Ogletree Hires Data Analytics Director

Labor and employment law firm Ogletree Deakins now has its first director of data analytics.

In that role, Dr. Andrew Cook, a labor economist, will oversee Ogletree’s data analytics operations and work with the firm’s knowledge management, information technology, and pricing groups.

“Data is becoming more and more important, especially in employment law. HR is becoming more quantitative,” Cook told Bloomberg Law May 8. “We want to make the process more efficient for our clients and ourselves.”

Cook has experience with matters involving employment discrimination, wage and hour laws, damage calculations, executive compensation surveys, statistical sampling, and false claims questions, according to the firm. He also has experience with the investigations of the ...
