Your 100-Year-Old Antitrust Decree Is Headed for the Dustbin

A series of antitrust judgments are on the Justice Department’s chopping block as the agency works to do away with those it views as antiquated and no longer useful, the agency announced April 25.

The oldest agreement set to kick the bucket is a 1926 judgment that prohibited plumbing equipment suppliers from engaging in price fixing and other anticompetitive behaviors. This judgment, along with 26 others on the agency’s website, are destined to circle the drain.
